Mission Statement

efficient manner
-

-
To

being the second, and the rate of return being the third

Function
of Department
-
The
Stevens County Treasurer's Office is an agent for the State of Kansas
for registering and titling motor vehicles and renewing driver's licenses.
-
The
second major function of the Treasurer's Office is the collection
of property tax on real estate, business, other personal property,
and intangibles.
-
The
third major function of the office is as "County Banker."
All monies that are due to the County are remitted to our office,
and we are in charge of the investments, while the money is the responsibility
of the County. During the year, we are required to disburse the money
to the various taxing units (city, school districts, etc.) for their
use.
